1. Henry Graves Supercomplication

One of the most complicated mechanical watches ever created. This pocket watch made history after selling at auction in 2014 for an outstanding $23.98 million. This incredible piece holds the record for the most expensive timepiece ever sold and of course it has to be a Patek. This 18-karat gold pocket watch boasts 24 complications and incredibly fits in 920 perfectly handcrafted individual parts. It’s no wonder that 7 out of 10 of the worlds most expensive watches are made by Patek Philippe. 

2. Caliber 89

Now this piece is special for a number of reasons. This is one of the most complicated timepieces ever created encompassing an incredible 33 complications. There were only 4 of these watches ever made in 1989 celebrating Patek Philippe’s 150th birthday all of which were made out of different precious materials: one yellow gold, one rose gold, one white gold and the last in platinum. If you get your hands on one of these you’ll be the only person in the world with that particular watch which is why this pocket watch is understandably worth around $6 million. 

4. The Packard 

An astronomical watch commissioned by James Ward Packard in 1927. It is one of the most complicated Patek Philippe pocket watches ever made. The immaculate attention to detail is shown on the back of the watch which has an incredibly accurate and highly detailed rotating star chart showing over 500 gold enamelled stars visible at any time of the year rising and setting in the sky above Warren, Ohio-which just happens to be James Packard’s hometown and place of birth. 

3. Star Caliber 2000

A monumental timepiece for a momentous occasion. Patek Philippe celebrated the dawn of the new millennium with a watch nobody will forget. This double faced pocket watch with 21 complications was the first timepiece that can play the correct sequence of the Westminster Abbie chime faultlessly of which a patent was filed. Overall there are 6 patented mechanisms placed in this watch with 1118 parts making it an incredibly unique piece. It’s the third most complicated watch Patek Philippe has ever made and is rightly estimated to be worth anywhere between $2.5 and $4 million.
